The Turtle

Eastern Snake-Necked Turtle, Chelodina longicollis

This Female Turtle was discovered on our property outside Strathfieldsaye. She had dug a hole and laid her eggs on the middle of one of our paddocks surrounded by a herd of curios Alpacas. All of which I missed not being a mooring person at all. After being woken and told of these events I went looking for her and found her resting a couple of meters away.  I made a few images of her so we could try and Identify the species and keep an eye on the nest so we can try and see  the eggs hatch.
